Objectives:
- To ensure the production team members perform assigned tasks to Focal Pointe standards of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Professionalism.
- To ensure that equipment fleet is operating efficiently and professionally.
- To ensure indirect labor, tools, material, safety, and training is managed to Focal Pointe standards.
Reports to: Director of Construction / Branch Manager
Supervises: Foremen and Crew Members
Responsibilities:
- Attends the internal handoff meeting with the Estimator to review and understand the project scope and requirements.
- Reviews and thoroughly understands the specifications, estimate, and bid for each project for which he has responsibility.
- Attends the job site at start of each new project to review the scope of work with the Foreman.
- Reviews daily schedule with Project Managers and Construction Branch Manager for services needed on each project.
- Communicates daily to track job progress and resolve issues by phone or in person with the Foreman on each project.
- Visits each job site as frequently as geographically possible, but at least once per week.
- Gets crews out of the yard in a timely manner with proper directions and with the proper equipment and materials.
- Monitors the use of equipment at jobsites and arranges for retrieval equipment when not using.
- Ensures that the Foreman controls and secures equipment and tools at the job site.
- Adjust crews’ schedules and workforce based upon client and crew needs.
- Ensures crews are attending safety meetings and following proper safety habits.
- Follows procedures for accurate post-accident reporting and follow through. This includes filling out incident report and assisting employees where needed.
- Ensures all projects exceed client standards for quality.
- Teams are demonstrating a positive mindset and continually look for improvements.
- Conduct and document training for crews, based upon Standard Operating Procedures, utilizing the Benchmarks.
- Basic repair and programming of irrigation systems.
- Performs a final walkthrough and ensures that all surplus and unused materials are returned from job sites to the branch when the project is finished.
- Ensures that punch list items and quality issues are addressed and managed effectively to expedite collection of retention.
- Reviews work tickets and approve hours worked by the crews in Aspire daily.
- Conducts performance appraisals and compensation reviews for production staff.
- Work with branch mechanic and Fleet Services to schedule and repair equipment.
- Able to conduct meetings with crews and crew leaders to illustrate safety, quality, and efficiency performance.
- Participate in snow removal as a Route Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be a person of integrity, worthy of leading the uniquely professional Focal Pointe team.

- Self-motivated with a strong desire to work hard, high attention to detail, follow-up, and the ability to prioritize.
- Demonstrate skill in leading, managing, planning, and directing crew operations.
- Management, coaching, and personnel development skills.
- Basic working knowledge of Aspire to include scheduling, work tickets, approval of hours, etc.
- Familiarity with project management software reports and budget vs actual reporting.
- Able to verbally communicate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and Focal Pointe personnel in English.
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Landscape Installation Management and 5 years field experience is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with approved driving record.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Employee is frequently required to sit, climb, stand, walk, handle, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move objects up to fifty pounds.
- Employees in this position are occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, heat, wind, and rain.
- Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Employees are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Responsabilidades:
- Asiste a la reunión de transferencia interna con el Estimador para revisar y comprender el alcance y los requisitos del proyecto.
- Revisa y comprende a fondo las especificaciones, el presupuesto y la oferta de cada proyecto del que es responsable.
- Asiste al sitio de trabajo al comienzo de cada nuevo proyecto para revisar el alcance del trabajo con el capataz.
- Revisa el cronograma diario con los gerentes de proyecto y el gerente de sucursal de construcción para los servicios necesarios en cada proyecto.
- Se comunica diariamente para seguir el progreso del trabajo y resolver problemas por teléfono o en persona con el capataz en cada proyecto.
