Happy Friday Everyone! Today’s Core Value is: We Inspire Communities. Two cool stories to share this week that brought today’s Core Value to life. The first coming from the hygiene kits we put together at the Leadership Summit at Big Cedar…
“Hi Molly, I wanted to reach out and sincerely thank you for your generous donation of hygiene kits. Our Club staff absolutely loved them, and the parents were incredibly appreciative. These items were a high priority for many families, and your support made a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping meet such an important need. And the second is regarding a recipient from the Focal Pointe Family Foundation’s annual Golf Tournament. This recipient is a sophomore in High School who was in a car accident with her single mother, and the mother passed away from the accident. The Superintendent and Principal of the school see great promise in this young lady, and are fighting to keep her hopeful, and remain engaged in life. To support their efforts, we are providing:
- A reliable used car for the young lady. Right now, the principal picks her up from grandma’s and takes her home after school.
- $1,000 for the Principal to take the young lady shopping for clothes (including a Christmas outfit), and presents for her family and loved ones.
- $500 for each A or B grade the young lady earns each semester of school until she graduates, put into an account at the school district, to be distributed to the college or trade school she attends after graduation. The goal is for her to earn $10,000 in scholarship dollars.
- We will match, dollar for dollar, her earnings from part-time jobs between now and her graduation from high school, capped at $10,000, put into an account at the school district, to be distributed to a college or trade school she attends after graduation.
This all got set up this week, and the Superintendent of Schools is overwhelmed with gratitude.
As you can see, we’re investing in hope and the path forward. Sometimes, even the most resilient people need a hand up, and a reason to focus on better days ahead. That’s the purpose of the Focal Pointe Family Foundation and Molly is so proud to showcase your generosity when working with these families and charities. Sometimes we inspire communities through small acts, while others are big acts. Either way, it’s the generous spirit behind the acts that makes the difference.
