John Munie

John E. Munie


Before John founded Focal Pointe in 1998, he spent years working in family businesses and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University. Even at young age, John was fascinated by how brands connect and identify with their customers – a concept he felt was largely overlooked in the landscape industry. Since our beginning, John has been committed to building a humble service organization that is built around the client experience. Under this philosophy and John’s ongoing leadership, Focal Pointe has grown into an industry leader and cares for many of the most prestigious properties in the Midwest. In addition to raising their four children, John and his wife Molly, Co-Chair the annual Focal Pointe Charity Golf Tournament, which raises money for local families in need.

Rick Fadel


Joining Focal Pointe in 2019 in the role of Integrator, Rick Fadel is responsible for day-to-day business operations and implementation of initiatives in support of company objectives. Rick’s experience leading operations for firms in the retail, hospitality, and finance industries position well him to evaluate and improve Focal Pointe operations. He believes engaged employees working together to delight their customers is the key to Focal Pointe's success. Rick is committed to continuous improvement and implementing new initiatives that keep Focal Pointe on the leading edge of the Landscape and Landcare Industry. A graduate of Old Dominion University, Rick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Rick spends his free time traveling with his wife and enjoys watching baseball. He also volunteers at St. Vincent De Paul and Loyola Academy.


Lisa Stoner

Director of Business Administration

Lisa started at Focal Pointe in 2008 in a part-time office position and quickly earned the respect of her peers for her diligent work ethic and professionalism. As a former Office Manager at a St. Louis law firm, Lisa was tasked with overseeing all administrative functions in a fast-paced environment. Those skills and continued drive have been critical factors in supporting Focal Pointe's rapid growth. In her role as Director of Business Administration, Lisa serves as Executive Assistant and directs the efforts of our Finance, IT and Human Resource functions. In her free time, Lisa and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with family.


Brian Brueggemann

Director of Landcare Operations

Brian Brueggemann joined the Focal Pointe team in 2016. Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and has been working in the St. Louis landscape market for more than 30 years. Over his career, Brian has been exposed to many aspects of the industry, including the wholesale nursery business, botanical garden maintenance, design-build installation, grounds management, and tree removal services. With expertise in both commercial and residential landscaping, Brian embodies Focal Pointe’s vision of understanding our clients’ needs and delivering above their expectations.


Brian Bobikiewicz

Director of Construction Operations

Brian holds an Associate Degree in Horticulture from the College of DuPage (1998) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Governors State University (2004). With a landscape career dating back to 1994 as a summer laborer, Brian rose through the ranks of a Chicago-based landscape company, eventually becoming a partner and overseeing more than $6 million in landscape construction work annually. Seeing an opportunity to be closer to family, Brian joined the Focal Pointe team in March 2015.


Adam Benes

Partnership Executive

In 1996, Adam graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He has the distinction of being one of Focal Pointe’s first employees, working part-time for the firm in 1998 and 1999. In 2008, after retiring from professional baseball, Adam rejoined Focal Pointe as Partnership Executive. In this role, Adam locates potential clients (partners) and communicates with existing clients to ensure their complete satisfaction. Giving back to the community, Adam stays true to his baseball roots by coaching and providing instruction to local youth.


Johanna Ramirez

Manager of Talent and Team Development

As Manager of Talent and Team Development, Johanna leads all aspects of Focal Pointe's talent development, management, hiring, and recruiting. She also works with management to retain qualified employees through competitive compensation, benefit plans, and ongoing training. A graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Johanna joined Focal Pointe in 2020. She works with management to advance existing team members with training and compensation. In her spare time, Johanna enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and going to the beach.
