Happy Monday Everyone! Our Vision is to be The Most Trusted and Admired Landscape Company in the World.
“Trust is the ability for everyone in an organization to confidently rely on (and predict) that others will do the right thing and make good on their promises.” Marie-Claire Ross.
What in your life may get in the way of keeping your promises and growing into someone people confidently rely on? It’s important to know that not all trust eroding actions are due to bad intentions. Just because you may have good intentions, doesn’t mean you’re viewed as trustworthy. Do you tend to over promise? Struggle with time management and miss deadlines or meeting times? Struggle to make and keep commitments? Fail to communicate your understanding of a need and follow up until completions? All those well-intentioned missteps erode trust and prevent you from being exceptionally trustworthy in the eyes of those you serve.
I want to invite you to identify two or three things in your life that may stand out as untrustworthy, then identify what you’d need to do differently to eliminate those two or three things. Whether it’s as overt as lying, or as subtle as showing up late for a meeting; put thought into what you can do to be worthy of anyone’s trust. Not only will it help us come closer to achieving our Vision, but I’m also sure you’ll feel the difference personally as well!
Have a great day! John
