On March 30, 2026, 38 trees were planted at O’Fallon Park through Focal Pointe’s Broken Bat Program in partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals.

This year’s planting carries added significance. O’Fallon Park lost more than 350 trees during last May’s tornado, and these 38 trees represent an important step in the park’s ongoing restoration—contributing to a broader effort to rebuild a space deeply rooted in community and history.

“When a collaboration project is successful it is such a great feeling. While you can have success individually, when it’s a team coming together, each contributing a little to the end goal it just means so much more. I am very thankful Focal Pointe and the St. Louis Cardinals value giving back to the community and that we were in a position we could help make a difference in the recovery effort” said Focal Pointe Account Manager Cody Azotea.

The effort was made possible by a collective group of partners and volunteers, including leadership from Forest ReLeaf of Missouri. Team members and community partners came together to complete the planting in a single day, demonstrating what’s possible when people align around a shared purpose.

“Whenever planting or caring for trees it’s very meaningful, as those acts will outlast you and really benefit future generations” adds Cody. “I did not grow up in this community to know the significance of this park and the emotional impact to the neighborhood after losing so much in the tornado. However, hearing all the cars drive by honking, people waving and yelling thank you made us feel we were a part of their community and we were helping them recover. In the thousands of trees I have helped plant, this planting will be very memorable.”

The work at O’Fallon Park is far from finished. On April 11, community members and partner organizations will gather again to continue replanting efforts and help restore hundreds more trees across the park. This is an ongoing effort to rebuild both the landscape and the pride of the surrounding community.

At Focal Pointe, we’re proud to play a role in helping restore what was lost and creating a lasting impact for the St. Louis community.
